February is known as a month that celebrates love. We see reminders of love everywhere — in gestures of kindness, in words of affection, and in the quiet longing we all carry to be known and accepted. Yet above every human expression of love stands a greater invitation: to rest in the love of Jesus Christ.
Much of our lives can be spent striving — striving for acceptance, success, and reassurance that we matter. In that striving, it is easy to overlook the steady guidance that has already been given to us. The Holy Bible — sometimes remembered as “Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth” — is a gift of direction, wisdom, and truth. It is not meant to burden us, but to gently lead us toward a life that is anchored in God.
God, in His love, draws us close to Himself through His Word. Sensitivity, awareness, and the desire to understand the deeper parts of life can be beautiful qualities when they are rooted in Him. The world often encourages us to use our gifts in ways that focus outward, chasing recognition or affirmation. But God invites us inward first — into a relationship with Him that brings clarity, peace, and purpose.
We live in a world where distractions are constant and spiritual confusion can easily arise. Yet God’s love is steady and protective. He knows the reality of good and evil, and He does not leave us without help. Through His presence and His Word, He offers a refuge that keeps our hearts grounded and our spirits at peace.
Scripture reminds us:
“As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love.” — John 15:9
To remain in His love is to return to Him daily — to listen, to read, and to allow His Word to speak personally into our lives. The Bible is living and active. Each passage has the power to meet us in our present moment, offering comfort, correction, and encouragement in ways that are uniquely ours.
This February, consider setting aside quiet time to rediscover Jesus through Scripture. Open the Bible not as a task to complete, but as a conversation to enter. Let His words settle into your heart. In doing so, you may find a love that is deeper than emotion — a love that steadies you, protects you, and gently transforms you from within.
In Christ, we are invited to rest, to trust, and to remain in a love that never fades.
