Invite Marnie to Speak

From False Light to True Light.

A former medium’s journey through spiritual deception, the unseen realm, and the life-changing truth of Jesus Christ

Pink Roses Blooming
Why This Message Matters Today

Interest in spirituality and the unseen world is rapidly increasing, with many people exploring practices such as tarot, astrology, spirit guides, psychic readings, and attempts to communicate with the dead. While these practices are often presented as harmless or enlightening, Scripture warns that not every spiritual influence comes from God. In a culture filled with spiritual curiosity and confusion, many people are searching for truth but are being led toward experiences rather than toward Christ. This message offers clarity, helping audiences discern the difference between false spiritual light and the true light found in Jesus Christ.

Meet Marnie

For most of my life, I experienced the spiritual world in ways I could not explain.

Beginning in early childhood, I believed I could see and hear things from the unseen realm. I often sensed things about people that I should not have known. Premonitions, powerful moments of déjà vu, and strong spiritual impressions became part of my everyday life.

For many years, I wondered if something might be wrong with me.

But when I entered the world of psychic readings and spiritual practices, everything I had experienced suddenly became normalized. I was told these sensitivities were gifts and that I was meant to help others understand the spiritual world.

For more than twenty years, I believed I was helping people by working with spiritual light.

Over time, however, the experiences I encountered became darker and more troubling. What once seemed peaceful began to feel oppressive and frightening. During that time, God began reaching into my life in ways I could not ignore.

Through Scripture, conviction, and a growing awareness of truth, I began to realize something that changed everything:

Not every spiritual light comes from God.

Today I share my story to help others understand the difference between spiritual sensitivity and spiritual deception, and why discernment is so important in a culture increasingly fascinated with the unseen world.

What This Message Explores

This message combines personal testimony with biblical teaching to help audiences recognize spiritual deception and understand the hope and clarity found in Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Sensitivity and the Search for Meaning

Many people today describe themselves as highly sensitive, empathic, intuitive, or spiritually aware. These qualities often lead individuals to explore spiritual practices in search of meaning, healing, or deeper understanding.

This talk explores why spiritual sensitivity can draw people toward the unseen world—and why grounding that sensitivity in Christ is essential.

My Journey into the Spiritual World

From childhood experiences with the unseen realm to years working as a psychic and medium, I share how spiritual encounters gradually became normalized in my life.

I also share the turning point when I began to realize the light I believed I was following was not the true light.

Seven Ways the Enemy Masquerades as Light

Scripture warns that deception often appears beautiful and convincing.

In this teaching, I explore common patterns of spiritual deception, including:

• the promise of hidden spiritual knowledge
• redefining who Jesus is
• encouraging self-divinity
• dependence on spiritual experiences
• mixing truth with error
• spirit communication
• gradually moving people away from Scripture

Understanding these patterns helps believers develop discernment in today’s spiritually confusing culture.

Spiritual Sensitivity vs. Spiritual Deception

Many spiritual experiences feel peaceful, loving, and meaningful. Yet the Bible encourages believers to carefully test spiritual influences.

This section explores the difference between genuine spiritual sensitivity and experiences that may quietly lead people away from biblical truth.

Objects and Practices That Can Open Doors to Spiritual Deception

The Bible repeatedly warns against seeking supernatural knowledge or power apart from God.

Today, many spiritual practices are presented as harmless forms of self-discovery or spiritual exploration. However, Scripture cautions that engaging with the spiritual realm outside of God’s guidance can lead to deception.

Examples often include:

• tarot or oracle cards used for divination
• spirit boards or Ouija boards
• pendulums used for spirit communication
• channeling or spirit guides
• astrology used for spiritual direction
• attempts to communicate with the dead

The Bible consistently directs believers to seek wisdom and guidance from God rather than from spiritual intermediaries.

The True Light of Christ

While spiritual deception can appear convincing, the message ultimately points toward hope.

Jesus Christ describes Himself as the Light of the World, and His truth brings clarity, freedom, and peace that cannot be found through spiritual experiences alone.
